GROUP PRACTICAL THEORY/MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES

MuseKids Musica Theory is a practical theory enhancement class in a group setting in order to enhance music collaboration.

Classes runs at the same time as RCM Musica Classes. 

Students should enroll when they are in RCM grade 4 to enhance their written theory, musicianship, ear training, and general practical understanding of music, including improvisation harmony and ensemble playing. These classes aim to put the theory concepts that students learn into their playing in an interactive and practical way. 

 

Classes run once weekly for 33 classes. (Assessment required)

If you are maintaining your private instrumental or vocal lesson, students in various Royal Conservatory of Music level can join into our MuseKids Musica Theory class accordingly.

If you are currently taking the following length of private lesson and have not done a theory class before:​

Your estimated level:

• 30 mins private lesson - absolute beginner to RCM Gr 2 theory

• 45 mins private lesson - RCM Gr 3 to Gr 6 theory

• 1 hour private lesson - RCM Gr 7 to Gr 10/ARCT  advanced theory
