String Classes

Our group Strings classes allow students to play in an ensemble setting to perfect their abilities. Beginners students can enroll in our violin/ cello/ harp strings exploration or orientation classes as an introduction to strings playing. Students who are enrolled in private lesson can enroll in our ensembles classes along side with the private lessons to enhance their ensemble/pre-orchestra experience prior to join other youth orchestra in Calgary.

STARTER Explorer: Strings EXPLORER & Young Star Beginner (Violin Cello Harp)

Level ONE: Strings Exploration/ Orientation

 
(Ages 2 & up, teenagers welcome)
For students who want to explore the fun of playing the violin in a group setting.

Program starts with Violin Viola Cello Friends: Young Stars Method from Europe by Lauri Hamalainen and

award-winning Vamoosh series Strings Ensemble repertoire by Thomas Gregory

Level TWO: Strings Adventure

(MINIUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN orchestra or ensemble setting, audition required)

ORCHESTRA ENSEMBLE LEVEL: MUSICA STRINGS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

(MINIUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN orchestra or ensemble setting, audition required)
For students who want to explore the fun of playing the violin in a group setting, further develop ear training and rhythm from an ensemble setting. 

Program continues with award-winning Vamoosh series Strings Ensemble repertoire by Thomas Gregory and work with repertoire pieces from international living composer expert with String Orchestra pieces in Europe or Viva Musica commissioned orchestra pieces to perform.
